Wow... it's 2012

Big Boy Brooks is 10 months old. He is still in the 90% percentile 10 month stats: Weight 25 lbs.. Height 30.5 inches. He is growing like a weed and loves to dance and squeel. I am hoping that this new year will bring more joy than sorrow. 2011 i lost 5 friends. And the year before my brother. We will be done with Chicago at the end of July!! Hoooorayy!! we have been waiting forever it seems like to get out of this city. We have been here 3 years. We will be in Texas for 2.5 months then we will be back in Arizona where Todd will finish his rotations. He amazes me. Im so proud of him. Well Happy 2012 my friends!!

Dangit... Fall is here which means winter is around the corner.... So happy this will be our last Chicago winter... And yes.. Chicago does have the worse winters in the U.S. I have lived through it.. one to many times... going on our 3rd winter.. yuck!

Brooks is 6 months

OOPS! I totally forgot to post his 5 months.. Anyways.. Brooks is still the happiest boy in town. He loves to talk.. still.. He is eating rice cereal and big boy food (jar food). Sweet Potatoes are his favorite. He loves cuddling with mommy. At night he is always looking around for me. He enjoys going on runs with daddy to the lake. He is getting around.. well scooting everywhere. He never wants to miss a beat! He had his 6 month appointment today. He is still above average for his height and weight. 97th for height, 75th for weight(same as his 4 month appointment). Doctor thinks he is going to be around 6'4'' when he is older(taking after his uncle). Ever since he was in my tummy i had to see my specialist every 2 weeks for ultrasounds. And every 2 weeks he would measure him and comment on how big he is. My specialist said i was blessed that he was always so big since i had to have him early due to me having a high risk pregnancy(all of my pregnancies will be). Any--hoo-- Brooks and i will be visiting home in October for my brother Eric's one year anniversary. Brooks is super excited to see his grandma and grandpa. He LOVES talking to grandma on the phone he just goes on and on.. but when my dad gets on he doesn't talk.. it's pretty funny. P.S We are dreading winter... ughh... Thankfully this will be out last (well for Brooks and I). Almost forgot... We went to Nauvoo over Labor day weekend. It was so humbling to see where Joseph Smith lived and final resting place. It was a great little get-a-way.

My sweet little boy is 4 months old already! He is growing like a weed. He is off the charts for his height. He loves to be held... yupp you heard me. He likes to stare at himself in the mirror and talk to himself. Whenever you walk by a mirror he cracks up, its hilarious. He Just started rice cereal and isn't a fan yet... but still does well with it. He Loves his stroller and going on walks. He loves to talk. Whenever i am on the phone he thinks im talking to him and just goes on and on. He is so much fun. And is the happiest boy in town!

I can't believe it has been 5 years! Time flies! Our sweet little Brooks is 3 months old today and is the best little gift ever! :o)

Blessing

We were able to go back to Arizona for Brooks blessing. We had his blessing at Todd's sister house. Todd did a great job. My mom makes all of the grand babies blessing gowns. She did such a great job on Brooks. She is so talented. It was so nice to be with family for a week and get some needed sunshine. While we were in town my brother Eric's headstone was installed. We are so happy that we were able to be there when they did that(since who knows when i will be out there next).

Brooks Is 2 Months

Brooks is already 2 months old as of yesterday. He loves to smile, loves to "talk", loves going outside, enjoys walks outside. He is 12 pounds 6 oz. He is growing like a little weed. We love him so much and is such a joy!

I can't believe my baby Brooks is already 1 month today. We love him so so much! He is such a good baby! He loves eating and is turning into a chunk. 2 weeks ago he was 9 pounds.. cant wait to see how much he grows in the next month! We love you Brooks!!

Brooks Kimball born at 37 weeks 1 day on March 8th. 6 pounds 13 oz. 20.5 length. We love him soo soo soo much! Always smiling and such a happy boy!

Please disregard my white trash-e-ness.. being in labor almost 24 hours was tough and with epidural and spinal block that didn't work! OUCH :o)

I can't believe its been almost 5 months since my brother passed away. I guess living far away from family makes time go by faster... Having a sibling pass away so young is something i would NEVER wish on anyone. Whenever i hear of others that have passed... but they are older.. i just say well at least they were able to live a full life, have a family, a career, and grow old. This has been the biggest struggle to deal with. I think the fact that i don't live near any of my family and not being there when he passed has been hard to deal with. I last saw him over a year ago. From being there a year ago hanging out, watching tv, doing things together.. to just seeing his body.. no spirit.. is hard. My other brother and sisters that live near home don't realize how lucky and fortunate they are to be together, and to see him before his passing. Oh how i wish i was able to be there.Getting that phone call ... is something i will never forget. I thought my dad was just calling to say hello, since we talk a few times a week. My dad so broken hearted, had to tell me the news. I jumped on a flight that next morning to prepare for his burial. Im so glad i talked to him the night before. He was so excited that i was coming home to visit in a few weeks, he was going to pick me up from the airport, and most of all was soooo excited that i was having a baby, especially since i was having a boy.... Being 4 months pregnant and everyone telling me you need to calm down, relax... I feel like i wasn't able to fully mourn since i had/needed to be concerned with my baby and his well being. I think about him everyday.. it seems to be getting better since i have so much on my mind right now with preparing for Brooks to come. That's a difficult thing too. Is the fact that my brother wont be able to watch him grow, learn and most of all know his Uncle Eric. That's why we have named Brooks, Brooks Kimball. That way he will always have a special connection, and know who is awesome Uncle Eric was. I know Eric has been watching over me. After all, i am his baby sister. :o) I take comfort in knowing that he is with my dear Grandpa Lines and Grandpa Cluff. And all is well. I love you Eric!

Belly Pictures

I kept telling myself i would do weekly photos of my belly. Uhh didn't happen. Working full time and being exhausted (yeah yeah i know excuses) :o) Overall, my pregnancy was pretty good... i mean beside my health issues (i guess the good lord wants to keep my life a little spicy and have some stories to tell.. since i love stories) Was never sick, no stretch marks, got to wear my regular clothes, got a fat face (fun),all belly, people would come up to me and then i would turn and they would say what the! I couldn't tell you were pregnant from looking at you from behind( thanks! i should have slipped them a few bucks!) I hope i carry my moms genes (so far yes with being just belly) she was able to slip right into her jeans after each pregnancy, and the longest labor she had was 4 hours! Out of 10 kids!! 4 hours! That would be fantastic!! Keeping the fingers crossed!

The photos obviously go early on in pregnancy, to last photo i think was at 32 weeks...

As most of you know Todd and I are expecting our first little one. Brooks Kimball Brown. His due date is March 28th. However, all of my pregnancies will be considered High Risk do to a blood issue i have. And it's only going to get more aggressive and worse with each pregnancy. So we will do one pregnancy at a time. We feel so blessed that the good lord has blessed us with him. I will be induced one either Monday or Tuesday. I will be 37 weeks. My specialist said i am very lucky that i was able to carry him for so long without having any issues. He said with Antigens(my blood issue) they are a 50/50 chance of the baby having issues. And they deliver early since the baby is better off out then inn. Since being a High Risk i have to see my specialist every 2 -4 weeks and have high tech ultrasounds and draw blood to check my titers. So we have tons of ultrasound pictures! We are praying that when he is delivered that he will be healthy and will not need extra care. It makes me feel alot better knowing that my mom has a similar blood issue as i do, and my mom and dad were able to have 10 babies. It makes me more enlightened on the possibility of more babies in the future. Brooks has been 2 weeks ahead the whole pregnancy(so my specialist says). I had my Amnio done last week and dr said his lungs are partially mature and my blood has not attacked him, and that he should be ready to go at 37 weeks! Which is considered full term, plus he has been ahead.. makes me more at ease. He said that if i was going to go 40 weeks(which they will never let me do, 37 is pushing it) i would have had a 9 pounder. NO THANKS! :o) We feel so blessed with a healthy boy and we can't wait to meet him next week. And thank you to everyone for there prayers for Brooks and I. These photos are from most recent (around 30ish weeks?) and earlier on in pregnancy! Enjoy!
